    sounds like the hunger games to me but this was published before the hunger games so...

      Actually there is quiet a talk whether the Hunger Games is a rip-off of Battle Royale or not..I can't really say what I believe since I haven't read it yet though! The truth is that the stories are indeed alike, although Battle Royale is much much more violent. Thanks for commenting!

      I was aware of it earlier, because it was also made into a film although I haven't watch it. This is fortunate, because I don't like being spoiled.

    Can't wait to hear what you think! I've been wanting to read it for the longest time (after I read Hunger Games), but it sounds more brutal.

    I've heard some awesome things about Battle Royale, but for some reason I haven't picked it up! I was told The Hunger Games was inspired by it, and with more death and violence in it, it definitely sounds like something I would enjoy. So excited for this, and I can't wait to see your review!
